Sales Specialist – Next-Generation Sequencing (DACH Region)

We’re looking for a Sales Specialist – Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) to accelerate business growth across the DACH region, delivering market-leading sequencing solutions to biotech, pharma, and academic research institutions. You’ll be responsible for expanding market share, building strategic relationships, and ensuring customers have access to innovative genomic tools that push the boundaries of discovery.
This is a remote position, with regular travel across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Your Role:
- Revenue Growth & Sales Execution – Drive sales of NGS-based target enrichment solutions, consistently achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Customer Engagement & Relationship Building – Develop long-term partnerships with academic research groups, clinical labs, and biotech/pharma companies to position NGS solutions effectively.
- Market Strategy & Competitive Awareness – Stay ahead of industry trends, monitor competitor activity, and provide insights to internal teams for strategic decision-making.
- Account & Territory Management – Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM updates, ensuring the sales pipeline remains healthy and data-driven decisions can be made.
- Collaboration with Product Teams – Work closely with product management, R&D, and operations to provide customer feedback and influence the development of next-generation sequencing innovations.
- Industry Representation & Brand Awareness – Represent the company at scientific conferences, tradeshows, and industry events, increasing visibility and market presence.
What You Bring:
- 3-5 years of commercial experience selling NGS reagents, sequencing workflows, or genomics solutions.
- Strong understanding of NGS applications, including target enrichment, synthetic biology, and genomic research.
- Technical depth in sequencing workflows and a proven track record in consultative sales.
- Ability to build and execute strategic sales plans, with a history of exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong presentation and relationship-building skills, with experience engaging scientists, researchers, and decision-makers at all levels.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and a structured approach to account management.
- Fluency in German and English(additional languages are a plus).
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Genomics, or a related field(advanced degrees or industry experience preferred).
Preferred Experience:
- Prior technical sales, field applications, or business development experience in genomics or life sciences.
- Exposure to fast-paced, high-growth environments and the ability to adapt to evolving market needs.
